Autumn and memories of Summer in the city

3 years together.  Celebrating in my favorite secret garden, Teardrop Park, with a picnic and sunset after work.

Hurricane Irene!  Basically a lot of rain and clouds that made the city disappear from our window.  We have tons of non-perishable food and candles now (for next time).
My desk and small group space.  Look at the windows!  First time I've had them (except when teaching in the foyer) in 7 years!!
The first day of school, passing out uniforms with our gym teacher.
The inaugural running club!  The rain deluged down on us for a solid 30 minutes, but it was the most fun way to kick-off the club.  We all wrung out our clothes before this photo.
Our playground is surrounded by the Graffiti Wall of Fame.  How cool is that?  And they change it frequently.  So beautiful.
Cart 2.0, constructed of a rolling spice rack and magnetic white board.

One of my favorite little scholars starts the four floor climb to start the day!

  1. Nicole! SO fun to check in and see these glimpses of your new life in NYC. Missing you so much. You are still on our minds and in our hearts here... teachers and students alike! Sending hugs!
